Iranian Company Produces Smart Pharmaceutical Nanocarrier
An Iranian knowledge-based company stationed at Islamic Azad University’s Ilam branch produced a type of smart pharmaceutical nanocarrier which can release the drug in the cancerous tissue.
The new supermagnetic intelligent nanocarrier is a polymer capsule that can contain special drugs, particularly anticancer medicine, and release them only in the cancerous tissue.
“The smart pharmaceutical nanocarrier product, if used in industrial production, specially in the field of anticancer drugs, can be a very good and useful treatment for patients who are suffering from this disease,” Hossein Peyman, the managing director of the knowledge-based ‘Pouyesh Pajouhan Asou’ company and a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University’s Ilam branch, told ANA.
The advantage of the supermagnetic intelligent drug carrier is that by taking anticancer drugs, such drugs will not have a harmful and destructive impact on other body tissues.
Iranian Scientists Produce Flame Retardant Batteries
Researchers at an Iranian knowledge-based company succeeded in the semi-industrial production and indigenization of flame retardant batteries with domestic materials.
“In lead-acid batteries, the charging and discharging process produces hydrogen gas in the battery. An increase in the pressure inside the battery causes an explosion and even the electricity produced in the battery can cause it to catch fire. As a result, the air inside the battery needs ventilation,” Saeed Zokayee, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“If the air flows freely inside the battery and outside, flame and dust can infiltrate into the battery and its acid comes out. As a result, the ventilation system should allow air to enter and exit and prevent dust and liquids from entering and exiting,” he added.
Noting that due to its material and porosity, the battery flame retardant tablet prevents the passage of liquids and causes the produced gas to escape from the battery, Zokayee said, “Due to the high chemical resistance of the materials used in the battery, it resists a long time against the acid and performs well.”
Iranian Technologists Make AI-Based Device to Detect Driver’s Drowsiness
Iranian technologists succeeded in using artificial intelligence (AI) to manufacture a device to detect and warn the driver’s drowsiness.
“This device uses advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to continuously monitor the driver's behavior and driving patterns to detect deviations that may indicate drowsiness,” Majid Khosravi Tannak, the managing director of a technological unit stationed at the incubator center of Islamic Azad University’s Bojnord branch, told ANA.
“In case of lack of alertness and sleepiness of the driver, the driver will be warned by means of the facilities that are considered for this purpose (like calling the driver or voice alarm) and due to the appropriate size and dimensions of this device, it will not disturb driving at all,” he added.
“Having a system for contacting the driver and voice warning - HD camera with night vision capability, the correct operation of the device when the driver wears a mask and sunglasses, the right weight and dimensions, equipped with an anti-vibration camera, the ability to use at night, the ability to set up the device with 12 or 24 volt car power, and sound warning designed to operate in difficult conditions are among the important features of the device,” Khosravi Tannak said.

Iranian Expert Makes Medicine Distribution Platform for Underprivileged Areas
An Iranian pharmacist has founded a new drug distribution platform which aims to settle the problems of the pharmaceutical industry and increases access to pharmacies in underprivileged areas.
“The main problem of pharmaceutical companies is their dependence on manpower and visitors to distribute their products, which limits access to cities and remote areas and hinders their market development,” Ali Boroumandi told ANA.
“We have investigated the wholesale sale of drugs. Due to the large number of pharmacies, our bargaining advantage with the manufacturers is high and it allows us to get the medicine from the manufacturers at a better price and supply them to the pharmacies,” he added.
“For instance, a company did not have a representative or visiting force in Kerman, but with the digital coverage we have provided throughout the country, we were able to introduce the product to Kerman and develop its market,” Boroumandi said.

Iranian Company Produces Nano-Based Magnetic Paints
Ahoura Nano Zist San’at company in Iran managed to produce nano-based magnetic paints.
In addition to covering the surface, the magnetic paints create a type of magnetism and this property can be used to stabilize or suspend an object on the wall.
The reason these colors are magnetized is the existence of magnetic particles made of metals or similar to metals in the paint. These particles are very small and are easily dispersed in the paint solvent.
With sufficient sitting of this paint on the surface, it is possible to attach or hang light objects using magnetic pins, and there is no need for other instruments like double-sided adhesives, paper needles, pins or nails.

Iran-Made Vacuum Distillation Device Separates Hydrocarbons from Oil
An Iranian knowledge-based company succeeded in indigenizing a vacuum distillation device based on the ASTM 1160D standard, which is used to separate hydrocarbons from oil.
“Vacuum distillation device based on the ASTM 1160D standard, atmospheric distillation device based on the ASTM 86D standard, diesel engine oil corrosion device, and semi-automatic closed ignition device are among the products or our company,” said Moslem Mashayekhi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
Elaborating on the performance of the vacuum distillation device based on the ASTM 1160D standard, he said, “This test method is used to determine the distillation features of petroleum products that may decompose if distilled at atmospheric pressure. The data obtained from this method can be used as a characteristic of petroleum products, which often include limitations of the distillation process.”
Mashayekhi explained that vacuum distillation is one of the best laboratory and industrial methods used to separate substances in liquid solutions, saying, “In this method, the desired solution is placed under vacuum, which lowers the temperature of the solution. As a result, the dissolved substances can be separated from each other with less energy.”
“Using the vacuum distillation method is suitable for solutions in which the substances in them have a high evaporation temperature and also a high boiling point in the atmosphere,” he added.

Iranian Scientists Make Acetylene Gas Purification Device
A knowledge-based company in Iran has succeeded in manufacturing an acetylene gas purification device to meet the needs of laboratories which analyze chemical materials.
“The acetylene gas purification device is one of the products of our company. This device has no domestic or foreign analogues and is patented,” said Ali Kashmiri, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
He explained that pure acetylene gas has always been and is an important need of chemical analysis laboratories, adding that lack of purity of gases available in the market and unprofessional filling of capsules, including not changing the acetone inside the capsule after each charge, not checking the standard level of acetone inside the capsule, etc., are always considered as the main reasons for device failures, which has always put laboratories under pressure due to the high costs of repairs.
Noting that acetylene is produced by mixing water with calcium carbide, Kashmiri said, “The resulting reaction is very exothermic and should be accompanied by the addition of more cold water. Acetylene effervesces and calcium hydroxide (hydrated lime) are by-products of this process.” “After this stage, drying and purification are carried out and the porous material is filled in a solution of acetone in steel cylinders under pressure. This process causes the introduction of many impurities into the gas, which causes corrosion and clogging of parts and adds to the problems of analysis. Impure gas is also one of the main reasons for problems in analysis. For example, in the analysis of arsenic by the hydride generator method, even without pure gas, there is a serious problem in accuracy, which is solved with an acetylene gas purifier,” he added.
Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Produces Spray to Stop Bleeding
Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company succeeded in producing and manufacturing a spray that can stop capillary and superficial bleeding.
“This spray is made based on recycled oxidized cellulose and is suitable for stopping capillary and superficial bleeding,” Reza Sayyah, a manager of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
