Iran-Made Industrial Felt Reduces Noise Pollution
“Industrial felt enjoys the capability to absorb sound and it can be produced in different sizes and colors. It is a fireproof material and can be washed,” said Arian Abolhassani, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“One of the special products we have produced is acoustic ceiling louvres which are made of U-shaped felt branches and can be connected to the ceiling. These acoustic ceiling louvres, in addition to absorbing sound visually, also contribute to the quality of the space,” he added.
Abolhassani also underlined production of over 20 products and implementation of over 100 projects in his company.
Reports also said last year that the polymeric felt produced by an Iranian nanotechnology company was capable of absorbing sound in buildings to a high extent.
‘Negin Rose Sepahan’ company used nanotechnology to make the sound-absorbing felt composed of silica aerogel and nonwoven polyester textile which can be used on the floor and body of buildings to damp the noise and acoustic losses.
The sound-absorbing material in this product is a nanostructured ceramic whose presence leads to high absorption capacity of acoustic waves at intermediate frequencies and improved acoustic and noise damping capability.
The special felt can be applied on the floor and body of residential and office buildings, recording studios, theater halls, meeting halls, cinemas, exhibitions, car, helicopter, plane, train, and ship.
