Iran Unveils Production Line of Track Chains for Road Construction Machinery
The technical know-how to produce track chains is possessed by a limited number of countries, including Italy, South Korea, and China; however, thanks to the efforts of the researchers of the knowledge-based Safco company, the product was designed and mass-produced in Iran, Mohammad Hadi Majlesi, the managing director of Safco company said, adding, the company enjoys the capability to produce 4,000 track chains annually.
“With the efforts of the experts of our company and relying on the reverse engineering method and the existing equipment, we have achieved the technical know-how of manufacturing the track chains and for the first time we could manufacture this product in the country,” Majlesi added.
He added that the functional part was successfully produced and tested after research and laboratory tests, adding, “Now, we have entered the mass production phase of this product.”
“Track chains are used in road construction and mining machinery, and naturally, the main customers of our products are all mining and road construction industries, which have a very wide scope,” Majlesi said.
Earlier, in July, researchers of a knowledge-based company in Iran had also succeeded in manufacturing a completely Iran-made machine for thermal repair and hot recycling of asphalt which greatly reduces the costs.
“We succeeded in designing and producing a device for thermal repair and hot asphalt recycling,” Javad Ahmadi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company based in Tabriz, told ANA.
He stated that by using this method, the process of cutting, destroying and sifting is eliminated compared to the usual methods, adding, “The device can reduce bitumen consumption and the costs of re-staining asphalt as much as possible.”
“The machine recycles 20 tons of asphalt chips and lumps daily and produces 20 tons of hot asphalt and 80 tons of cold asphalt like a normal asphalt factory,” Ahmadi said, adding that the device is highly suitable for the winter season.
