Foreign Leaders Congratulate Iran on 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution
In Islamabad, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and the country’s Foreign Ministry sent separate messages Tuesday celebrating the anniversary, wishing the Iranian people peace, progress, and prosperity. President Zardari addressed his message to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian government, emphasizing the deep historical, cultural, and geographical bonds between Iran and Pakistan, which have grown stronger over the years.
From New Delhi, India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar conveyed his greetings to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi via a social media post, congratulating him, the government, and the people of Iran on the occasion.
In Minsk, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko praised Iran’s resilience through historical challenges and described the Islamic Revolution as a “turning point” symbolizing national unity, independence, and the pursuit of justice. His message was addressed to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian people.
Meanwhile, in Moscow, Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council, sent congratulations to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. She underscored Russia’s longstanding support for Iran’s independence and sovereignty, condemned foreign interference in Iranian affairs, and highlighted the durability of Russian-Iranian relations within the framework of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
