No Date Set for Next Iran-U.S. Talks as Consultations Continue
In a televised interview upon his return to Tehran, Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that while both sides remain committed to continuing the dialogue, the timing for the next round of discussions has yet to be determined.
“Both sides are willing for the negotiations to continue,” Larijani said. “However, consultations must take place in the respective capitals to ensure that the talks lead to results.”
Addressing reports suggesting that he carried a letter or message to the negotiating parties, Larijani denied the claims. “No, we did not have any letter,” he said, clarifying that communications had been handled by Omani intermediaries.
According to Larijani, these intermediaries conveyed positions attributed to the U.S. side, which were documented and submitted to him for review in Tehran, ensuring that any forthcoming discussions are informed by the latest positions of both parties.
