Iran Celebrates Revolution Anniversary, Calls for Unity Against Global Pressure

In a statement released to coincide with the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and the Divine Day of 22 Bahman, the General Staff of the Armed Forces highlighted Iran’s steadfast stance against all forms of external pressure and hostility. The statement paid tribute to the martyrs of the revolution, including victims of recent US- and Israel-linked attacks, affirming the nation’s commitment to the path of resistance and national sovereignty.

Recalling the historic overthrow of the Pahlavi monarchy, the statement described the revolution as a “divine miracle” led by Imam Khomeini, which dismantled a 2,500-year-old tyrannical system and restored independence and dignity to the Iranian people. It stressed that, from its inception, the revolution has confronted global powers’ attempts at domination with resilience and historic success.

The statement further condemned ongoing hostilities from the United States and Israel, noting that increased pressures have only strengthened Iran’s resolve. “Powerful and independent Iran,” it said, “has achieved notable progress across scientific, defense, technological, social, and cultural fields despite decades of sanctions, threats, and conspiracies.”

Emphasizing national unity, the statement called on the Iranian people to participate in the nationwide 22 Bahman rallies, framing the anniversary as an opportunity to reaffirm the ideals of the revolution and confront global arrogance. It concluded that, guided by faith and the leadership of Imam Khamenei, Iran will continue to protect its sovereignty, national honor, and the principles of the Islamic Revolution with unwavering determination.
