Iranian Company Develops Software to Improve Cognitive Skills

“One of the cognitive areas that should be given serious attention in learning disorders is the issue of visual perception, processing speed, visual spatial perception or memory of children and students,” Hanieh Haddadi Shivayee, the managing director of the technological company stationed at the incubator center of the Islamic Azad University’s Ilakhchi branch, told ANA on the sidelines of Asr-e Omid event in the Central city of Isfahan.
“Accordingly, the advantage of the designed software and product is that this software is not only usable for exceptional students but also for all ordinary individuals and students,” he added.
“The designed games enjoy the capability to directly enter the cognitive domain of individuals, and if there are problems with cognitive areas such as memory, visual perception, processing speed, etc., they can settle the problem and increase the students' skill level over time,” Haddadi Shivayee noted.
She explained that even if a student does not have a problem, by playing designed games and repeating them, his/her skill will increase.
“Based on the principle of brain flexibility (neuroplasticity), if parts of the cognitive areas are not used, this performance will decrease over time by playing these games,” Haddadi Shivayee said.
The 7th national Asr-e Omid event, titled ‘Digital Economy’, was held at the Islamic Azad University’s Isfahan (Khorasgan) branch on February 3-6 with the participation of over 100 technological companies.
The issues covered in the event include artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, gaming, biotechnology and digital medicine, metaverse, virtual reality and augmented reality, generation 4.0 industries, smart cities, e-commerce, digital marketing, and clean energy.
