Over 100 Research Labs in Iran Equipped with Home-Made Cognitive Tools

The Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council (CSTC) of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has put on its agenda investment in the field of manufacturing low-cost and portable cognitive tools (handheld devices) for use by the general public.

Supporting the creation of research and scientific infrastructure needed in Iran in the field of cognitive sciences and technologies, creating a network for sharing laboratory facilities and services, attracting elites and efficient researchers to work in fields related to cognitive sciences, encouraging and persuading researchers and specialists to achieve self-sufficiency and indigenize production of equipment, and supporting the production of technological tools and devices by centers and knowledge-based companies are the most important goals of the Council. 

In recent years, with the support and participation of the Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council, over 100 research laboratories have been equipped with Iran-made cognitive tools.

Cognitive Science and Technologies Council (CSTC) is a national agency founded in 2011 to plan for, and support the advancement of cognitive science and technologies in Iran.

The council promotes research in cognitive science, and development of its related technologies and services by supporting scientific examination of mind, brain and cognition.
