Iranian Company Produces Rebar Planting Adhesive
“The rebar planting adhesive is produced by using nanoparticles based on climatic conditions, seismic conditions, geological studies, and weather conditions for use in projects in Iran, and is of very high quality based on the results of quality and performance tests,” Javad Haddadi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
Noting that rebar planting adhesive refers to a substance that is injected into the concrete cavity and can create a connection between the rebar and the wall of the concrete cavity, he explained, “This chemical is based on epoxy resin and is offered to the market in a two-component package. When rebar planting adhesive is injected, both components are combined and injected into the concrete cavity by using a plastic nozzle.”
“Our company is one of the 5 companies in the world that produce rebar planting adhesive, and in the Middle East, our company is the only one to have received a certificate related to the standards of this product,” Haddadi said.
In a relevant development in November, Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company had also designed and produced strong epoxy adhesives based on the international standards.
“Two-component epoxy adhesive for making materials (EP series) is a paste-like adhesive based on epoxy resin and amine modified hardener. Epoxy glue does not contain solvents and the amount of volatile organic substances in it is very small. This glue has extremely high adhesion and mechanical strength and creates a permanent connection,” Abdolreza Mir-Mohseni, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
“Also, this glue is designed and formulated for both dry and water environments. Epoxy glue is designed, formulated and produced in six different grades for different needs of the industry. Epoxy adhesives EP60, EP61, EP62, EP63, EP64 and EP65 can be mentioned among the types of these adhesives,” he added.
Noting that epoxy adhesives are used in ceramic, concrete, rebar planting, sealing and sealing, stone, wood, metals and facades, Mir-Mohseni said, “Also, high quality and 100% domestic and indigenous materials are other features of the epoxy glue.”
