The product made by the knowledge-based company enjoys analgesic properties for knee and joint arthritis. The ingredients of this extremely effective herbal ointment are flavonoids, polyphenol compounds, alkaloids, tannins, saponins and organic fatty acids, including omega-3.

This herbal ointment has strong therapeutic properties, is analgesic and prevents the recurrence of pain caused by knee and joint arthritis.

“The herbal ointment is effective for all people suffering from knee, joint, and bone pain, and the second product (mosquito repellent gel) is useful for all members of the community to protect themselves from mosquito bites, specially Aedes, which causes dengue fever,” Ali Shafaqat Lanbar, the managing-director of the company and a faculty member of Islamic Azad University’s Khalkhal branch, told ANA.

Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age.

The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

In a relevant development in February, Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based pharmaceutical company had also succeeded in producing a therapeutic herbal lotion for the treatment of different arthritis pain, joint pain and wrist syndrome (carpal tunnel).

“The knowledge-based product is used to treat all types of arthritis pain and joint pain in the neck, knee, spine, wrist carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), and tendon pain. It can also be used for sciatic nerve and muscle-joint spasms in different parts of the body,” said Massoud Rahafrouz, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

“DORIFA lotion is quickly absorbed by the muscle due to its micromolecules and increases blood flow to the muscle; the lotion causes the muscles to relax, and this causes a reduction in tension on areas around the nerves, and spasm and pain in those areas,” he added.

“In sciatica, the lotion reduces pressure on the sciatic nerve system and the spasm of the pyramidal muscle on this nerve, and it works with the same mechanism in the neck and shoulder areas. In carpal tunnel syndrome, it causes freedom in the movement of the median nerve,” Rahafrouz explained.
