“One of the most important measures that helps develop exports, specially knowledge-based exports, is the creation of a consortium. For instance, in the field of medical equipment, we can export the products of companies active in this sector to different countries by forming a consortium and creating an export brand. Or even to implement a hospital project in a foreign country, a consortium can be formed and take over the entire project, and the components of the consortium are composed of knowledge-based and capable companies in different sectors of the medical equipment sector,” Khayyatian said.

“Supporting the knowledge-based companies in the path of exporting knowledge-based products is one of the priorities of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and we declare our readiness in terms of financing and supporting this sector,” he added.

In a relevant development in July, a consortium of knowledge-based companies had been formed to settle the problem of pollution created by Shazand thermal power plant in Central Iran.

In line with the call to reduce the emissions of the Shazand Arak thermal power plant, issued by the Water, Climate and Environment Department of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy in May this year, Nourbakhsh, the secretary of the headquarters for the development of the knowledge-based economy of water, climate and environment, the relevant scientists and a team of experts visited Shazand Arak power plant.

During the visit, Nourbakhsh stated that the purpose of this visit is to speed up the creation of a specialized consortium to eliminate the pollution of Shazand power plant by using the capacities of knowledge-based, technological and creative companies.

Shazand Thermal Power Plant is a 1,300MW gas fired power project. It is located in Markazi province in Central Iran.
