“This device is related to drinking, industrial and agricultural water ponds and is used for pumping and transmitting water, and with this method, sediment, algae, etc. are destroyed and the water reaches the consumer in a completely healthy and drinking form,” Jalal Mirzaei, the participant in the Asreh Omid Event held by the Islamic Azad University in an interview with ANA reporter about his device to clean ponds and pools.

“The sediment collector and anti-sediment device prevents the growth and proliferation of algae and the creation of pollution in such a way that there is no need for man involvement to do this. Rather, the device does these activities automatically and does not require an operator,” Mirzaei said.

The researcher said that he could accomplish producing the sediment collector at the Islamic Azad University, Ilam Branch, adding, “This device is used to clean the entrance of the pond and transfer healthy water, because the problem in water transfer is the proliferation and growth of algae, which this device prevents.”

"In order to clean sediment and the algae, we have to close the pond and use manpower. So we are both killing time and wasting money, while the sediment collecting machine does these activities automatically," he added.

About the Asreh Omid Event, he said that the event will be useful in attracting support and investors, and if the sediment collector reaches mass production level, it will greatly help traditional and industrial agriculture as well as drinking water.

The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
