Iran-Made Technological Product Prevents Sedimentation in Water Path

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iranian researchers at a technological company succeeded in producing a sediment-breaking device which stops sedimentation in the water path in various industries and facilities.

“The water sediment-breaking product causes sedimentation to practically stop in the water path and previous sediments to disappear over time. This product is used in all areas, including residential or household, agriculture, industry, etc. and anything that works with water and has a sediment problem,” Farshid Torabi, the commercial director of a technological company stationed at the incubator center of the Islamic Azad University’s Karaj branch, told ANA.

Noting that sediment breakers do not require electricity or batteries, he said, “It is self-charging due to having an internal kit and a coil, aligning alloys and ceramic magnets that have a thirty-year lifespan.”

“If a problem occurs during this period, the company is obliged to replace the device and provide a new device,” Torabi said.

He explained that the cooling towers and industrial heating and cooling systems have always had the problem of scale and high costs that manufacturers have to spend annually to maintain their facilities but the sediment-breaking device has settled these problems.

In a relevant development in November, a group of technologists from a knowledge-based company had also succeeded in building an acoustic segmentation device with application in deep water environments like reservoirs of dams, oceans and rivers to perform sediment imaging and object identification.

“The acoustic segmentation device is a technological products of the company which is used in water environments like reservoirs of dams, oceans, seas and rivers. This device is used to measure the parameters of water environments,” Reza Hosseinzadeh Asl, a graduate of water structures field from University of Tehran and a researcher of the knowledge-based company.

“This device can display parameters like temperature, speed and direction of water flow in different water layers by sending and receiving sound and analyzing them. This system has other applications like identifying sediment in rivers and objects in deep aquatic environments,” he added.

“The device analyzes the sound after receiving the information and presents the final report. It can complete the required missions up to a depth of 90 meters,” Hosseinzadeh Asl said.

“The measurement length of this device depends on the frequency used and can collect information from 100 meters to several kilometers in the ocean,” he noted.
