Iran-Made Hydraulic Drilling Machine Able to Take Samples in 1-km Depth
“We have different products, including hydraulic drilling machine which is used in mines. In the activities related to mining, the mining work begins when discoveries are made and the depth of the earth and the type of minerals in the earth are determined,” said Morteza Sediqian Kashi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“Therefore, to meet this need in Iran, we built a machine which takes samples from inside the earth, and this can be carried out up to a depth of a 1,000 meters,” he added.
In a relevant development in October, Iranian specialists at another knowledge-based company had also designed and developed a smart comprehensive system for collecting drilling information, providing the ground for the development of oil industry.
“Designing and development of the system to collect the drilling information is now pursued by our knowledge-based company to meet the domestic need for imports,” said Rashid Ma’mouri, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
"Despite problems, fortunately, we were able to build 10 machines in accordance with international standards and delivered them to National Iranian Drilling Company," he added.
“During this period, we also indigenized a number of production logging tools (PLT),” Ma’mouri said.
Elaborating on the drilling mud mapping units and oil well production information-receiving systems, he said, “These systems provide the experts with the information needed for drilling, and they can help experts to make the right decision and carry out the drilling and repair operations of oil and gas wells.”
