“We are a producer of compounds used for syringe gaskets, pharmaceutical vial, gloves and other single-used medical data-x-items which can be disposed and recycled,” Zahra Salarifar, the managing director of “Kushesh Pajouhan Sanat Polymer Company” told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event (Age of Hope scientific festival) run by Islamic Azad University (IAU).

“We have also obtained ISO 10993 standards (for evaluating the biocompatibility of medical devices) and have received a certificate and a patent, and we have gained the first Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) for syringe gaskets applications in Iran,” she further said.

“Previously, the black part of the syringe was fake, and from now on, TPE is used. It is decided to replace unauthorized products with newly produced ones. We are the first TPE producer of the product in Iran,” Salarifar went on to say.

“Our product does not have similar domestic samples, and foreign samples may be available in the market claimed to be TPE; but their features are not similar to this model and are very different from our product,” the managing director of the polymer company added.

Stating that their TPE product is genuine, Salarifar said, “This product is mostly produced in Germany and USA (of course, with lower quality than our product) and is sold in the Persian Gulf countries; however, our product has no equivalent inside the country.”

Asreh Omid Event held by IAU was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
