Iranian Experts Make High-Capacity Asphalt Recycling Machine
“We succeeded in designing and producing a device for thermal repair and hot asphalt recycling,” Javad Ahmadi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company based in Tabriz, told ANA.
He stated that by using this method, the process of cutting, destroying and sifting is eliminated compared to the usual methods, adding, “The device can reduce bitumen consumption and the costs of re-staining asphalt as much as possible.”
“The machine recycles 20 tons of asphalt chips and lumps daily and, produces 20 tons of hot asphalt and 80 tons of cold asphalt like a normal asphalt factory,” Ahmadi said, adding that the device is highly suitable for the winter season.
Earlier this year, an Iranian knowledge-based company located in Varamin’s Charmshahr industrial town near Tehran had manufactured a product that can repair damaged asphalt by using polymer structures.
Researchers of a knowledge-based company in Varamin’s Charmshahr industrial zone succeeded in the development of polymeric products with the capability of repairing damaged asphalt of streets and roads after 13 years of research.
The company has been able to conduct large projects at Isfahan and Shiraz airports in a way that the two airports do not need any asphalt renovation after more than five years.
In this method, maintenance costs of the asphalt can be significantly reduced without the need for special equipment only by using the special polymers.
The advantages of using asphalt renovation polymers have made many foreign countries from the Persian Gulf littoral states to European countries to become the customers of the Iranian knowledge-based company’s products.
