Araghchi addressed the controversy in a post on X, highlighting that the Iranian government had already released a detailed list of all 3,117 victims of recent terrorist-related incidents, including roughly 200 members of law enforcement forces.

“The publication of these figures reflects our commitment to full transparency and accountability towards the Iranian people,” he wrote, emphasizing that the government had acted in line with its public pledge.

The Iranian diplomat’s remarks come in response to Trump’s comments about casualty numbers during unrest in Iran. Araghchi urged critics to substantiate any claims with concrete evidence, reinforcing Tehran’s position that the official data has been made publicly available and verified.

“This is about ensuring facts are clear and verifiable,” he added, underscoring the government’s insistence on transparency amid ongoing international scrutiny.
