Production of Cosmetic Creams by Extraction of Animal Bioactive Compounds in Iran

“Following the success in production of cosmetic creams, the research team of this unit started its activities to produce a variety of completely natural and safe cosmetic creams by using a variety of animal, plant and probiotic bioactive compounds, vitamins and micronutrients useful for the skin with the latest formulation to make natural compounds,” Mahnoush Fatemi, the manager of Noyan Zist Avan technological unit at the Growth Center of Technological Units of the Islamic Azad University’s Falavarjan branch, told ANA.

She said that the unit at present produces anti-blemish and brightening creams, moisturizing creams, eye creams, anti-wrinkle face creams, sunscreens and foundation creams.

Fatemi added that the underway products of the unit include all types of oil-free creams for oily and acne-prone skins, all kinds of skin nourishing lotions, cosmetics-cleaning creams, mascara, etc.

Bioactive ingredients are those ones which have been clinically proven to possess anti-inflammatory properties (helping you to fight skin inflammation) or work as antioxidants (protecting your skin against the effects of free radicals).

The most popular bioactive ingredients are proteins, enzymes, vitamins, and various plant extracts (carotenoids, bioflavonoids, etc.).
