Iran to Inaugurate First Smart Factory
The Digital Economy and Intelligence Development Headquarters of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has planned implementation of a project called the ‘Intelligence Leap’.
The supportive plan tries to target various driving elements for the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in Iran.
In this event, due to be held in cooperation with Omidboom Smartization and Innovation Factory, the winners of the top three plans will be introduced and awarded.
During the opening ceremony of the event called ‘Omidino’ on January 7, Iran's first innovation and smart factory will be inaugurated concurrently with introduction of winners of the Intelligence Leap project.
A smart factory is a digitized manufacturing facility that uses connected devices, machinery and production systems to continuously collect and share data. This data is then used to inform decisions to improve processes as well as address any issues that may arise.
The smart manufacturing practices used by a smart factory are enabled by a variety of technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, cloud computing, and the industrial Internet of Things (IoT).
