The IRGC said on Tuesday that it had carried out the third phase of Operation Nasr-2, with naval and aerospace forces launching coordinated missile and drone attacks under the codename "Ya Zain al-Abidin."

According to the statement, the operation targeted key US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait. The IRGC claimed the strikes hit storage facilities containing equipment and spare parts for US naval and air assets at Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base.

The statement also said the attacks struck the MQ-9 drone operating area at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base, causing the destruction or damage of several unmanned aerial vehicles.

The IRGC described the operation as a response to what it called US attacks earlier in the day against several Iranian coastal military positions.

It warned that military retaliation would continue if Washington maintained its operations against Iran, adding that any further US action would be met with what it described as an “unexpected response.”

The statement further cautioned that continued US military activity could delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and disrupt the export of oil and natural gas from the region.
