Ghalibaf: Iran’s Resistance Accelerates Global Transformation

(Tehran Ana)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the world is “on the cusp of a new order,” highlighting Iran’s role in shaping global transformation and emphasizing the future belongs to the Global South.

In a message posted on his X account on Saturday, Ghalibaf referenced Chinese President Xi Jinping, writing, “The transformation unseen in a century is accelerating across the globe,” and stressed Iran’s contributions to this shift.

His remarks come amid heightened tensions following the latest US-Israeli military operations against Iran. China has repeatedly urged de-escalation and a diplomatic resolution to the crisis, condemning violations of Iran’s sovereignty during the June 2025 Israeli attacks and expressing concern over potential disruptions to energy supplies and shipping in the Strait of Hormuz—factors that could impact the Chinese economy.

Against this backdrop, former US President Donald Trump’s recent talks in Beijing drew global attention, as China seeks both to prevent further escalation in West Asia and safeguard its economic interests in the region.

Analysts noted that the meetings could also test whether Washington and Beijing can manage broader disputes while preventing the regional crisis from spiraling out of control.
