In a statement released Tuesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused the UAE of permitting its territory to be used during recent military escalations involving the United States and Israel, which Tehran described as unprovoked aggression.

The ministry warned Abu Dhabi against persisting in what it called “destructive actions” carried out in coordination with hostile parties, adding that such cooperation poses serious risks to regional peace and stability.

According to the statement, the UAE’s hosting of foreign military bases and equipment not only contributes to tensions but could also have far-reaching consequences for security across the region.

Tehran also rejected accusations from Emirati officials alleging that Iran had targeted the UAE, stressing that any retaliatory actions were directed solely at hostile assets within the country. It described the claims as unfounded, aligned with U.S. positions, and contrary to the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Despite the tensions, Iran emphasized that it had exercised restraint and adopted what it called a responsible approach, citing respect for regional stability and the broader Muslim community.

However, the ministry made clear that Iran remains prepared to act if necessary, stating it would take “appropriate measures” to safeguard its national interests and security.

The statement further alleged that several regional countries—including Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Jordan—allowed their territories to be used during the period of heightened conflict, which lasted from late February to early April.

In response, Iran reportedly carried out extensive retaliatory operations, launching multiple waves of strikes targeting strategic U.S. and Israeli assets across the region, including military facilities believed to have supported the initial attacks.
