Diplomatic Source: No Iranian Delegation Sent to Pakistan for Talks with US
(Tehran Ana)- A diplomatic source in Pakistan has stated that no Iranian delegation has been dispatched to Islamabad “so far,” dismissing reports of Iranian participation in talks with the United States.
Speaking to IRNA on Tuesday, the source said that neither official nor unofficial confirmation has been received regarding any Iranian involvement in negotiations in the Pakistani capital. The source also noted that security considerations remain a key factor for any potential diplomatic travel to Pakistan.
The clarification comes amid media speculation suggesting that an Iranian delegation was expected in Islamabad for a second round of talks with the United States, as a two-week ceasefire approaches its expiration on Wednesday.
Iranian officials, however, have reiterated that Tehran will not engage in negotiations under pressure or threats.
