Iranian Firm Indigenizes Generator Control Module for Refineries, Petrochemicals
Reza Alizadeh, the tender manager of the knowledge-based company, described the system as a control module for generator control and protection systems, and said, “It needs primary current to generate electricity and is responsible for supplying and controlling this current. This system, while managing the generator control section, ensures the stability of the power grid and the appropriate quality of the output voltage.”
“This module has been installed and commissioned in various industries, including power plants, refineries, petrochemicals, steel, copper and mining industries, and has yielded successful results in numerous projects,” he added.
Alizadeh referred to cooperation between his company and Shazand Arak Power Plant, and said, "In this project, for the first time, a special design based on water-cooled systems was carried out, and the product was placed in the unit's circuit without any problems and received full approval from the employer."
In a relevant development in 2024, Iranian engineers at a knowledge-based company had also produced a diesel generator engine that supplies the highest amount of electricity with less diesel fuel consumption and 40% more efficiency than their counterparts.
“This product uses diesel or gas as fuel to produce electricity. The internal combustion engine of this device provides the driving force necessary to produce electricity in the alternator. In this system, the mechanical energy required by the generator is supplied by the internal combustion engine, and the generator produces electricity based on electromagnetic induction,” said Mohammad Hassan Kargarzadeh, the sales manager of the knowledge-based company.
“The new generation of diesel engines produced in this company is nearly 40% more efficient than their previous generations as they can produce more energy with less fuel consumption,” he added.
Kargarzadeh explained that the diesel engine also produces more electricity due to the fuel ignition method which makes them very suitable for heavy industries with more power needs.
