Iran to Establish Oil Refinery, Cement Research Centers
“Science and Technology Park of Central Province has plans in various areas. The field that we have seriously pursued and we have taken an effective step is related to the refinery and cement industries. Recently, we have signed a memorandum of understanding with the mother and big industries of Iran,” Mohammad Ali Dastan told ANA.
Noting that the knowledge-based companies cannot grow without the support of big industries, he said, “In fact, the country's economy gains meaning with the help of these industries. These industries cause the movement of knowledge-based companies. Also, these industries use the large capacities of these companies.”
“The big industries have decided to help and invest in the Science and Technology Park of Markazi province to grow the knowledge-based companies, for this purpose two advanced technology research centers in the fields of refineries and cement and smart building materials will be launched,” Dastan said.
Relevant reports said in October that a project for designing and manufacturing transmitters (equipment for measuring pressure, temperature and level), required by the oil industry, is due to be implemented by the Iranian knowledge-based companies.
The project was launched after signing a contract for production of 575 transmitters with the Iranian knowledge-based companies.
The National Iranian South Oil Company and Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) are the main applicants for these transmitters, and the design and construction time for the project has been considered as 24 months.
Based on the contract, the manufacturer is required to obtain the required certificates and other safety and quality requirements.
Transmitter is a strategic equipment in the oil industry for measuring pressure, temperature and level, and the continuity of operation and production in different parts of the oil industry depends on the ability of the measuring equipment.
