Knowledge-Based Company in Iran Succeeds in Manufacturing Wireless Laryngoscope
“We are the only manufacturer of wireless video laryngoscopes. So far, there has been a very significant reception from physicians; over 500 specialist and subspecialist physicians in Iran have purchased this device, and it is also being used abroad,” said Mehdi Moqim Eslam, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“One of the important features of this product is that it is wireless, which has made the doctor's work much simpler and more convenient. Also, the integrated design and production of this device has minimized image interruptions and problems during intubation,” he added.
“Scientific research conducted by Tehran University of Medical Sciences shows that this product, compared to the US, Canadian, and European models, has reduced patient pain and cardiac arrhythmias by changing its structure and design,” Moqim Eslam said.
“The device has been clinically tested in operating rooms, emergency rooms, and ICUs, and its results have been published in prestigious international journals,” he noted.
In a relevant development in 2024, Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company had also succeeded in designing and producing trocar for laparoscopy surgeries.
“The increasing growth of minimally invasive procedures like laparoscopic surgeries in the country and around the world made us move towards the production of consumable tools for these procedures, and as a result, we started designing and manufacturing laparoscopic surgery trocars,” said Sadeq Jangjou, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
Noting that the sterile disposable laparoscopic trocar is used in laparoscopic surgeries, urological surgeries, gynecological surgeries and other surgeries that are performed through the abdomen, he said, “It makes the entry path of endoscopic and urological instruments clear.”
“The two product categories of this company are laparoscopic trocar size 5 with blade and balloon and size 12 without blade and camera for transferring tools, equipment and camera inside the abdomen,” Jangjou said.
