Iranian Student Team Wins Gold Medal in Invention Competition in Britain

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iranian students from Sama primary school in Najafabad in the Central part of Iran won the gold medal of an invention competition and exhibition in Britain.

The international and specialized exhibition of inventions was held with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIIPA), universities and scientific research organizations and centers related to inventors, hosted by Kingston University, England, in London on September 25-27, 2024.

The competitions was held face-to-face with the participation of 32 countries and the presentation of 285 researches and inventions in various fields. In addition to Britain, several countries, including France, Japan, Romania, Canada, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Poland, Taiwan, Thailand, Croatia, Cyprus, Iran, etc. had also participated in this edition of the exhibition and competitions.

In these competitions, Iranian inventors and researchers in various fields like nanotechnology, biotechnology, electronic engineering, astronomy, food industry, mechanical engineering, medical engineering, pharmaceutical, energy, environment, health, etc. had also participated in two student levels with 7 teams and they won 6 gold medals and 5 silver medals and several special awards from prestigious universities and centers.

Amirhossein Arab, Soheil Safi, Reza Shafiyee, Kiaresh Mo’eendoust and Abolfazl Davoudi won the gold medals.
