Iranian Researcher Wins Gold Medal at 8th iCAN 2023 for Inventing Medical Instrument
Young inventor Saba Valizadeh Sultanahmadi won the gold medal of the 8th Canadian invention competition known as iCAN2023.
She participated in the Canadian international event with a safe syringe which was classfied as a medical tool and successfully was awarded a gold medal in that international event.
Organized by Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and supported by Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc., International Federation of Inventors' Association (IFIA), the 8th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2023 was held online on August 26.
Previously, Saba Valizadeh won gold medal of the Poland-hosted international invention competition in 2014, special award of Moroccan inventors festival, gold medal of the Swiss invention competition and gold medal of the best female inventor in South Korea in 2015.
She is an official member of IFIA and a member of the Iranian Inventors Association.
The researcher and inventor who is from the Northwestern Irannian city of Tabriz has three invetions in the field of medical equipment, for one of which she has obtained patent and the two are in the process of gaining the patent. Designing and manufacturing surgical sets in the field of Obstetrics and gynecology, diabetic shoes for people with diabetes and safe syringes are her invetions.
The inventor is currently a chemistry undergraduate student.
