The ministry will continue to study and analyze the arguments in the U.S. report assessing the Vietnamese economy so as to continue the supplement and completion of the briefs and relevant dossier to submit to the U.S. department to request another review to recognize the market economy status of Vietnam, it said.

The ministry will always support and accompany Vietnamese enterprises exporting to the U.S. market in trade remedy investigations to ensure the highest benefits for the Vietnamese business community.

Up to 72 economies, including Britain, Canada, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and New Zealand, have so far recognized Vietnam as a market economy, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The United States has been Vietnam's largest export market for many years. In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam's export revenue to the United States reached 66.1 billion U.S. dollars, according to Vietnam's General Statistics Office.
