Iran-Manufactured Anesthesia Machine Capable of Competing with Foreign-Made Ones

Fatemeh Norouzi, a member of broad of directors of Bartar Electronic Medical Care Equipment Company, pointed to the reality that an anesthesia machine is one of the necessary equipment in any surgery room in hospitals, adding, "The main function of an anesthesia machine is controlling the patient's breathing system during surgery as well as controlling anesthesia of the patient that has gone under surgery."

Norouzi further highlighted advantages of the Iran-made anesthesia machine and said, "The most common anesthesia machine which is used vastly worldwide has a price of almost nine billion rials (Iranian currency) but the domestic one can be available at half of the mentioned price." 

She underscored that the Iran-made anesthesia machine enjoys the same quality and capabilities with the best foreign-made machines.  

Norouzi further said that Bartar Electronic Medical Care Equipment Company has employed almost 70 employees, adding, "Our anesthesia machine in some cases has been exported to other countries and has gained foreign currency for the country."

"Localizing production of the machine has resulted in significant currency saving as well," she underscored.
