Over 236 Million Tons of Goods Loaded, Unloaded at Iranian Ports Last Year
The PMO announced that 236,512,240 tons of commodities were loaded and unloaded at the Iranian ports in the said period, showing a 10% hike compared to a year earlier.
Also, over 29 million tons of oil products were unloaded at the Iranian ports from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024.
In this period, over 51 million tons of non-oil goods were unloaded at the ports.
Totally, more than 80 million tons of oil- and non-oil goods were unloaded at the Iranian ports in the previous Iranian calendar year.
More than 81 million tons of oil products were loaded at the ports from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024, while over 74 million tons of non-oil goods were loaded at the country’s ports.
In total, over 155 million tons of oil- and non-oil goods were loaded at the Iranian ports in the last Iranian calendar year.
The loading and unloading of goods in the containerized operation sector registered a five percent growth in the 12-month period compared to a year before.
Data from the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization showed in March that over 213 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports in the first 11 months of the Iranian year 1402 (March 21, 2023 to February 22, 2024).
The PMO said in its report that over 213 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports affiliated with the PMO in the first 11 months of this year of 1402.
The report said that the total unloading and loading of oil-related products and non-oil products from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024 included over 101 million tons of oil-related products and more than 112 million tons of non-oil goods, a total of 213 million on aggregate.
The PMO figures showed a 5% growth in the unloading and loading of oil products, a 12%growth in the unloading and loading of non-oil goods, and a 9% increase in the unloading and loading of oil and non-oil goods together compared to the same period last year.
The PMO report added that more than 26 million tons of oil products were unloaded at ports affiliated with the PMO in that 11-month period.
