Iran’s Foreign Trade Sees 10% Rise in 7 Months
Iran's trade exchanges in the seven months of this year surpassed 81 million tons worth $60.133, marking a 10 percent rise in value, Morteza Emadi said.
Iran exported 61.283 million tons of goods valued at $28.406 billion in the first seven months, he added.
The official stated that liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, film-grade polyethylene, petroleum bitumen, liquefied natural gas, urea, iron and steel ingots, and light oils and petroleum products were the main exported products.
The mentioned products account for 41.9 percent of the total value of the exports, he noted.
China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and India have been the five major destinations for exporting Iranian goods, Emadi said.
Iran's Customs Administration announced in September that the country’s non-oil exports to 15 neighboring countries have exceeded $10.7 billion during the first five months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022-August 22, 2022).
Iran’s non-oil trade with its neighbors has had remarkable growth in terms of value and weight during the mentioned period, it added.
Elaborating on the country’s foreign trade, the Customs Administration said that 25.398 million tons of Iranian commodities with the value of $10.723 billion were exported to the 15 neighboring states, which shows a 27 percent increase compared with the preceding year.
Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, and Azerbaijan are Iran’s first seven export destinations, followed by Russia, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
