Einollahi made the remarks while visiting Qatar Pharma plant in Doha.
During his visit, Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, the managing director of the pharmaceutical company, presented a report on various parts of this complex.
“Our company was established in 2017 and its goal is to produce high-quality medicine. The company meets 30 percent of Qatar's pharmaceutical needs,” he said.
Einollahi, for his part, underlined that 99% of the medicine needed in Iran is produced domestically, adding that the country is ready to export medicine to Qatar.
Earlier, during the trip to Doha, Einollahi had expressed Iran’s readiness to facilitate health tourism with Qatar.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari which was held on the sidelines of the Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare in Doha.
He also stressed regional cooperation to fight diseases.
“We can help many countries in the region in the field of infectious diseases,” he added.
Einollahi also noted that Iranian universities and faculties of medical sciences are ready to cooperate with Qatar in scientific, research, and educational fields.
Cooperation can be strengthened in the field of health tourism, exchange of professors and students, health measures, and fighting diseases, he said.
Al Kuwari, for her part, stressed Qatar’s readiness to expand regional and mutual cooperation with Iran in the field of health.
The exchange of professors of medical sciences between the two countries leads to the promotion of public health and medical knowledge, she added.
