24 Technological Companies Present Achievements at 24th Iran Media Expo

TEHRAN (ANA)- A senior Iranian official said that the 24th Iran Media Exhibition in Tehran enjoyed an innovation and technology section and 24 technological companies presented their latest achievements in the field of news writing during the expo.

Amir Hessam Behrouz, the head of the special department of innovation and new technologies in the media field, told reporters on the sidelines of the 24th edition of Iran Media Exhibition that artificial intelligence, interactive content, intelligent monitoring, virtual assistant, intelligent processing and data journalism are new topics in the media field in the world and Iran.

“During this edition of the media exhibition, it was decided to establish a special section in the field of innovation and new technologies in the presence of technological, creative and knowledge-based companies in the field of media to promote the achievements of this field,” he said.

Behrouz added that this section was supported by the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and the Soft and Cultural Technologies Development Headquarters, noting, “24 creative and technological companies presented their products in this field in the media exhibition.”

“Our efforts are focused on connecting the media with the achievements of startups and creative and knowledge-based companies,” he stressed. 

The closing ceremony of the 24th Iran Media Expo was held at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla on February 21 in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmayeeli.

The four-day exhibition was aimed at promoting and strengthening the media industry. The active participating media were honored in eight groups based on the votes of the visitors.

The expo, a platform for showcasing the latest developments in media, hosted more than 600 media outlets, creative groups, and knowledge-based companies.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a total of 80 specialized and public sessions were held, eight of which focused on the future of Iranian media considering the development of technology and artificial intelligence.
