Iranian Scientist Finds Link between Popular Weight-Loss Drugs, Stomach Paralysis

TEHRAN (ANA)- A new research by a British Columbia University team, headed by the Iranian scientist Mahyar Etminan, showed that medications known as GLP-1 agonists—which includes brands like Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus and Saxenda—are associated with an increased risk of serious medical conditions, including stomach paralysis, pancreatitis and bowel obstruction.
