“We were able to obtain a license from the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran and start the company's activities by focusing on repairing aircraft parts,” Behrouz Minayee, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

Noting that the Iranian companies which have a license can repair aircraft parts, he said, “We also have an international license for repairing these parts.”

Noting that all countries under the supervision of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) can benefit from the services of the knowledge-based company, Minayee said, “Overhauling each part requires a separate license, and in this company we have a license for 200 parts.”

“Recently, our company was also able to make a device that acts as a bridge between parts and a display that makes the part's information visible,” he added.

Head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh announced late 2023 that different states were using the country's services to repair and overhaul their passenger planes.

Countries from Latin America, Europe, and Asia bring their planes to Iran for repair and maintenance services or send the engines of their planes to the country for overhaul operations, Mohammadi Bakhsh said.

He added that planes sent to Iran for repair and maintenance operations are Boeing and Airbus, adding that it has been for years that no Iranian planes have been sent to other countries for repair and maintenance services as Iran has turned into a destination for overhauling services of other countries’ planes.

This important national achievement has been made while Iran is under the toughest sanctions imposed by Western countries, including the US, Mohammadi Bakhsh said.
