Iranian Firm Produces Solution of Genetic Kits for Culture Medium
“FBF culture media is a product used in all genetics laboratories. These kits provide a suitable environment for planting DNA and RNA. In fact, these kits are a laboratory solution for preparing samples in genetic laboratories,” Massoud Abbasi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
“This genetic kit solution is suitable for all genetic-molecular laboratories and of course all companies that manufacture or sell laboratory kits,” he added.
“CF DNA laboratory tubes is another product of our company, where DNA and RNA samples of mother and fetus are taken during blood sampling in the 13th week of pregnancy, and then stored in these tubes,” Abbasi said.
Earlier, in September, scientists at an Iranian company had applied nanotechnology to make different types of DNA and RNA extraction kits.
"Our DNA and RNA extraction kits are 70% cheaper compared to the foreign samples and they can perform extraction at a high speed. We have no dependency on foreign countries for production of these kits,” said Amir Shiralizadeh Dezfouli, the managing director of Ronash Technology Pars company.
“By using these magnetic nano kits, the process of making a test to presenting the results has reduced to less than three hours. This technology can be used to isolate various nucleic acids of pathogenic viruses like AIDS and influenza,” he added.
The company also makes various types of products like nanomaterials, gold nanoparticles and magnetic nanotubes which have received four nanoscale certificates so far.
