Nano-Based Shielding Paint for Car Underside Produced in Iran

An Iranian nanotechnology company produced special shielding paint to protect the underside of car.

‘Goharfam Industrial Manufacturing’ company has successfully made the product which is a polymeric shielding paint composed of polymeric matrix and nanoparticles to protect the underside of cars against the environmental corrosive and detrimental agents for a long time.

It can also attenuate the disturbing sounds during the vehicle movement.

Utilization of nanoparticles inside the polymeric matrix of the shielding paint has made the paint anti-corrosive, impact-resistant, pebble endurance, and wear-resistant, increased the viscosity of the paint, enhanced the shear strength of the paint and adhesion to steel surfaces, and yielded favorable damping capacity.

The paint can be used for underside of vehicle chassis, underside of mudguard, rear, front bumper, and door frames of cars, the interior parts of vehicles that are not physically accessible, but are highly prone to corrosion, like panels, frame rails, and inner cavities.

Nano-Based Glass of Airplane's Cockpit Produced in Iran

Iranian technologists succeeded in making a special glass for the windshield of airplane’s cockpit by using a nanometer coating which prevents creation of a vapor layer.

The glass produced by an Iranian knowledge-based company, supported by the Nano and Micro Technologies Development Headquarters of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, has gone through all tests and enjoys the desirable resistance.

Also, the amount of visible light transmission and the amount of light scattering of the product are acceptable and the performance of the thermistors used in the glass has also been assessed as suitable.

The glass has been strengthened with a nanometer coating and prevents creation of a vapor layer to improve the safety of traveling by plane.

Alumina Nanoparticles Used by Iranian Firm to Manufacture Strong Rebar

An Iranian nanotechnology company produced well-engineered rebar based on copper used for welding.

‘Artash Composite’ company has made the rebar based on pure copper whose hardness and mechanical strength are enhanced by dispersing alumina nanoparticles.

It can be used as spot welding electrode tip and submerged arc welding electrode with low cost and prolonged lifetime.

The bars can be used for production of resistant welding electrodes, submerged arc welding tips, CO2 welding tips, and welding of pipes for oil and gas industry in a large volume.

Iranian Company Produce S-Urea to Increase Productivity in Livestock Industry

An Iranian company has produced a novel slow-release urea (S-urea) to increase productivity in protein industry by 212 percent while it also reduces soybeans consumption rate by 50 percent.

Since using urea in livestock farms causes ammonia poisoning in the animals, the researchers at an Iranian company have offered a solution to prevent that from happening by covering the urea. The new solution is called slow release urea which, according to them, increases production of protein in the animal's body by 212 percent.

Hashem Mousavi, the sales manager of the Iranian holding which operates in the field of livestock, poultry and agriculture said in an interview with Iranian media that, “The latest product we produced in the field of livestock and poultry is called ‘Uras’ or slow release urea. Urea is used in livestock farming industry, but because it decomposes quickly in the animal's rumen, it causes ammonia poisoning in the animals.”

“Ammonia poisoning causes animals’ abortion and death,” he added.

“To prevent this problem, we created a cover around urea, which increases the release time of urea from one minute to 8 hours. When urea enters the animal's rumen, it begins to break down, thus the problem that pure urea causes in the animal's body is resolved,” the sales manager of the holding went on to say.

Nano-Based Hydrophobic Coating Produced in Iran to Prolong Life of Different Materials

An Iranian company produced a new type of nano-based hydrophobic coating which can increase the lifespan of different objects.

The product is a nanoparticle-containing hydrophobic coating, which can be applied to the surface of various materials, e.g., wood, metal, ceramic, etc., to preserve their original appearance and eliminate the need for regular washing.

The deposition of nanoparticle-containing hydrophobic coating on various materials has led to enhanced corrosion resistance, saving water resources by eliminating the need for regular washing, prolonged lifetime of component and economic efficiency.

The product can be used in car body and buildings facades.

Iranian Firm Makes Monitoring System for Alarming, Extinguishing Fire

Experts at a technological company in Iran succeeded in building a monitoring system for alarming and extinguishing fire.

“The product includes an online monitoring system and a hardware module for smartization of fire alarm and extinguishing panels,” said Mohammad Behesht Ayeen, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

He added that the system can be mounted on all panels available in the market, noting when an error or fire is reported from the main device, it immediately informs the fire station and the owner of the device.

Behesht Ayeen stated that the device can also prepare periodic reports on steps to provide assistance by the relevant institutions and monitor the correct operation of the device.

“The alarming system can even work in critical conditions like lack of internet,” he said.

Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Manufactures Practical Turning Machine with Application in Steel Industry

Researchers of a knowledge-based company succeeded in building a turning machine with the capability of unloading four millimeters in one pass for turning and bottom turning of steel parts.

“This machine is suitable for turning all types of metals, and plastic and Teflon materials, and it enjoys the ability to cut via using an automatic mechanical cutting system,” Mostafa Tourchi, the manager of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

“Among other capabilities of the machine mention can be made of possibility to unload four millimeters in one pass for roughing steel parts,” he added.

Noting that the machine is also suitable for training purposes, Tourchi said, “It is similar to the conventional turning machines in the market with the difference that several parameters have been improved in this product which has led to more integration in using the machine.”

He stated that in addition to the usual capabilities of manual lathes, the device has special features like off-center drilling capability and metal cutting by using automatic scissor-saw system.

Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Produces VR Glasses for Interactive Training

Researchers at an Iranian knowledge-based company have developed and produced Virtual Reality (VR) glasses that are used as virtual reality training simulators in different industrial workplaces.

“We are specialized in artificial intelligence, metaverse, augmented and virtual reality,” Sadegh Heidari, the managing director of the Iranian knowledge-based company said in an interview with Iranian media.

He said that producing Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) glasses has been one of their company’s research areas.

Heidari explained that VR glasses are used in various fields for training personnel and technicians at military, medical and industrial workplaces.

He added that the glasses are used to give electrical, mechanical, welding and other industry-based training to the personnel.

Iranian Researchers Make Robotic Arm to Harvest Date Fruit

Iranian scientists succeeded in developing a robotic arm which mechanizes harvesting operations of dates and help enhancement of its quality and speed of the process.

“In this plan, a robotic arm has been presented to harvest date fruits. A manipulator, traveling on a U-shaped rail with four prismatic joints and one revolute joint, has been designed and constructed to approach the fruits efficiently,” Parvin Mohammadi, one of the researchers of the plan, told ANA.

She explained that a manipulator, traveling on a U-shaped rail with four prismatic joints and one revolute joint, has been designed and constructed to approach the fruits efficiently, adding that the end-effector of the manipulator is an electric chainsaw capable of cutting the date bunch.”

“Two cameras are mounted on the manipulator in perpendicular directions to capture images, which are then transmitted to a decision-making unit to control the speed of the manipulator links,” Mohammadi said, adding that a decision-making unit that included three fuzzy inference systems uses the location data of the fruit bunch stems and the area of tree leaves in the images to determine the speed of electromotors of the trolley, horizontal link, and vertical link.
