Iran, Turkiye Discuss Cooperation in ICT Field
During the meeting on the sidelines of a meeting of ministers of communications of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) members, Zare’pour and Sayan reviewed the past agreements, and emphasized the necessity for their implementation.
Zare’pour, for his part, referred to the good practical experiences and capabilities of Iran’s various private and government sectors active in various fields of information and communication technology, and stressed the need for greater convergence of the two countries in the field of cyber governance, cyber security, launching joint regional platforms and data transmission.
He also described the upcoming D8 summit in Tehran as a good opportunity to reach new agreements and create a new chapter of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of information and communication technology.
Earlier this month, a spokesman for Iran Space Agency (ISA) said that the Agency is holding talks with the ECO member states for export of space-related products.
Given the valuable experiences of the country in the space industry, Hossein Daliriyan stated that Iran can be exporter of space products to these countries.
He said that Iran Space Agency and ECO member states have held constructive and fruitful talks in the field of bolstering space cooperation.
ECO is a good capacity for cooperation and the Agency can be exporter of space-related products given its high capacities and valuable experiences in the apace industry, Daliriyan emphasized.
