Accurate Iran-Made Kits Test Level of Blood Hemoglobin
“The margin of error of these kits is 99.5% based on the tests conducted at the University of Medical Sciences,” Fatemeh Hajimohammad Hosseini, the managing director of the knowledge-based company active in the field of health and hygiene, told ANA.
“The activity of this company is in the field of manufacturing medical equipment like laboratory kits that measure the level of blood hemoglobin and they have been produced for the first time in Iran,” she added.
Hajimohammad Hosseini noted that the kits have been mass-produced and commercialized, adding that their margin of error is 99.5 and their quality is even higher than the Chinese sample.
“These kits enjoy the potential to be used in underprivileged areas to diagnose anemia at schools which increases the quality of education too,” she underlined.
Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells. Red blood cells provide oxygen to body tissues.
Different types of anemia include anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency, iron-deficiency anemia and anemia due to folate (folic acid) deficiency.
Anemia is very common, affecting an estimated one-third of the global population.
