KANS Award in Iran selects nominees from 18 countries
The results of the first round of competition show that most of the works that have been selected were presented in the fields of energy, water, and environment.
The selected works were from Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Oman, Kenya, Lebanon, Indonesia, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Philippines, Russia, Palestine, Vietnam, and Brunei.
The highest number of works were from Iran and Malaysia.
Most of the works are in the fields of energy, water, and environment, and 41 works in these fields have been advanced to the next stage.
Also, the field of health and medical equipment was attractive for young scientists so 37 works in this field have made it to the next stage.
The agriculture and food industry, information and communication technology, and artificial intelligence also have the next rank in the KANS competition, with 25 works that have been accepted in the screening stage.
Moreover, 20 works in the field of electricity, electronics, and robotics and 4 works in the field of mining and mineral industries have made it to the next stage of the competition.
KANS aims at finding the best scientific solutions to spot and tackle the problems of society while having accomplished the goals of using the character and capacities of the expert community.
The event also aims at providing an accumulation of scientific works, raising the level of motivation and creativity in young elites, establishing a platform to identify and exchange scientific and technological ideas, and having researchers engaged in purposeful and sustainable interaction.
The ending ceremony of the event will be held on May 12.
