South Korean Envoy: Art Brings Nations Closer
Speaking at the opening of South Korea’s Cultural Week in Tehran on Saturday, Kim said that friendship requires no translation, particularly at a time when the world is increasingly facing conflicts and tensions.
The event was inaugurated at the South Korean Consulate in Tehran with a joint exhibition showcasing works by 80 Iranian and South Korean artists, featuring calligraphy, paintings and sculptures.
Kim noted that the participation of 40 artists from each country reflects the spirit of friendship and closer cultural ties between Iran and South Korea.
He also praised a work by an Iranian calligrapher combining the Korean Hangul alphabet with Persian calligraphy, describing it as a notable example of cultural exchange between the two nations.
The ambassador expressed hope that a similar joint exhibition would be held in Seoul in the future.
