Iran to Use Knowledge-Based Firms’ Capabilities to Develop Telecommunications Equipment
During the visit by Mohammad Mehdi Hadavi, the achievements and technologies of the Iranian Electronic Industries Company were assessed, and while introducing the technological achievements of the company, the importance of using the capacities and capabilities of knowledge-based companies in the development of space technology and information technology, by developing indigenized capabilities in the space field, was emphasized.
During the four-hour visit, the achievements and capabilities of the Iranian Electronic Industries Company in the field of telecommunications and space equipment were introduced. Also, referring to the role of knowledge-based companies in the development of indigenous technologies, the basis for concluding a memorandum of understanding focusing on the design and production of indigenous satellites using the capabilities of knowledge-based companies was discussed.
The knowledge-based company is active in the fields of optics, telecommunications equipment, and medical and Iranian equipment.
In a relevant development in November, specialists of a knowledge-based company had also managed to manufacture telecommunication processors which are used to transfer information between two or more points through electrical, optical or radio signals.
“The latest product of our company is telecommunications processors which are produced for the first time in the country, and the design and use of internal technology have been fully completed by our specialists,” Majid Pazireh, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
Noting that the product is used in the telecommunication industry, he said, “At present, the foreign model of telecommunication processors is used in Iran’s telecommunications industry and we hope to replace them with the Iran-made ones in the future.”
The advantage of the domestic product compared to the foreign sample is that this product is indigenized, and changes in hardware and software will be made based on the customer's needs, and the security and data safety is another advantage of the domestic product,” Pazireh said.
