Iranian Researcher Designs New Smart Wristband for Patients
Fatemeh Soreni, a nursing graduate from the Islamic Azad University, Khorramabad Branch told ANA on the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event that she has designed an application that helps to meet all the needs of patients and has services including post-discharge care.
“In addition to having features that other apps do, this application has services such as post-discharge care which ensures the patient and their families to be looked after even after discharge from hospital at home and they should not be worried about lack of care and even needed equipment at home,” she added.
“In this application, there is a part for sharing information and a link with the treatment staff, which increases the scientific and clinical literacy of the treatment staff and facilitates their communication as well,” Soreni added.
“With this application, in addition to supplying the necessary care for patients, we can store their clinical information with their permission to be used by the treatment staff in the future when they come to the medical center,” she added.
The researcher said that she has decided to develop her idea into a smart wristband in the next phases so that it can also be used in the operation room by the surgeons.
The nursing graduate further said about the Asreh Omid that the event held by the Islamic Azad University, brought together companies, and idea owners, in addition to enabling entrepreneurs, talented people and elites.
According to her, the event was useful in attracting the attention of investors on the one hand, and on the other hand It also made the idea owners get to know each other and the infrastructure groups found each other and helped each other to propser.
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
