Iranian Company Produces Food Supplements Based on Herbs, Mushrooms

TEHRAN (ANA)- Researchers at a technological company in Iran succeeded in producing spices, mixed seasonings and food supplements based on medicinal plants and mushrooms.

“Our company operates in the field of producing spices, mixed seasonings and food supplements based on medicinal plants and mushrooms, which are in the commercialization stages,” Rasta Hashemi, the sales manager of the company stationed at the incubator center of Islamic Azad University’s Isfahan branch, told ANA.

“Producing simple and mixed spices in a specialized manner is another activity of ourcompany, and hotels, hospitals, restaurants, food factories and industrial kitchens are the target markets of our company,” she added.

In a relevant development in January, a knowledge-based company in Iran had also succeeded in making an herbal product that can accelerate recovery in patients who suffer from narcotics addiction.

“The main idea behind the product is the effect of the tar of herbal plants in the process of de-addiction on complications and problems that patients face during de-addiction and its consecuences,” Leyla Qodrati, the head of the research and development (R&D) center of the knowledge-based ‘Avish Gol Sepahan’ company, told ANA.

“It will treat mood and nervous disorders, insomnia, emotional dreams, delusions, muscle pains, etc.,” she added.

“The herbal product of the company is considered a therapeutic supplement and will greatly increase the patient's desire to quit drugs and continue the treatment process,” Qodrati noted.
