Iran to Export Nanomaterials to China
“PNF company with which we signed a contract had participated in the CHInano Conference & Expo 2024 this year,” said Hamzeh Qajavand, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
Noting that one of his company’s field of activity is the production of various nanomaterials, he said, “To produce nanomaterials, we have two main methods, one of them is the electric wire explosion method and the other one is membrane electrolysis. With these methods, we can produce all types of nanomaterials.”
“We had communicated with the Chinese side and had also sent samples and information had been exchanged in this regard. Fortunately, in this exhibition, we were able to reach an understanding with the Chinese side for the exports of nanomaterials, and a contract was signed. I hope the big market of China can host our technological products,” Qajavand said.
Iranian researchers with specialties in nanotechnology have been able to put the country among the top seven states in the world in this area by their articles and products and exports to 50 countries.
At present, 300 knowledge-based nanotechnology companies active in Iran export 715 types of products to 50 countries of the world, which are used in 20 industrial fields. They have produced nearly 250 types of nano-based goods at the beginning, but over time this number has increased to 500 data-x-items and at present, nearly 715 types of products are being made with the help of nanotechnology.
So far, Iran has managed to register 4 international ISO standards in the field of nanotechnology. The country is one of the pioneer states in this technology, and in this field it operates on par with Germany and China.
Nano-based colon cancer detection kit, baby skin jaundice test at home and effluent purification of refineries with nano membrane modules are among the achievements of the Iranian scientists in this field.
Iran has made nanotechnology a priority in recent years, achieving remarkable success. The nanotechnology research website StatNano has ranked Iran as fourth in the world in nanotechnology publications.
The number of scientific articles is deemed a significant parameter for measuring and comparing scientific development, according to StatNano that provides the global and regional ranking of the main indicators of nano science, technology, and industry. China was atop the rankings, followed by the United States and India.
