Malaysia's Economy Grows 5.9 Percent in Q2
TEHRAN (ANA)- The Malaysian economy advanced 5.9 percent in the second quarter of 2024, driven by stronger domestic demand and further expansion in exports, the central bank said.
The central bank said in a statement that household spending in Malaysia increased amid sustained positive labor market conditions and larger policy support in the second quarter.
Investment activity was underpinned by continued progress in multi-year projects and capacity expansion by firms, while exports improved amid higher external demand and positive spillovers from the global tech upcycle.
