Iran Exports over 36 Billion Dollars Worth of Non-Oil Products in 9 Months
Rezvanifar underlined that the nine-month non-oil exports indicates 26.48 percent growth in weight, but 0.68 percent fall in value, year on year, adding that the country's exports in the first nine months of this year, including oil, electricity, and technical and engineering services, and excluding the export via suitcase trade, reached $63.97 billion.
He put the value of the exports of oil at $26.46 billion, electricity at $300 million, and technical and engineering services at $780 million in the first nine months of the current year.
Rezvanifar also said that Iran has imported 28.7 million tons of goods worth over $48.4 billion in the first nine months of the current year, of which $60 million was the value of electricity import.
The nine-month import indicates a 12.29 percent rise in value and six percent growth in weight, year on year, he added.
The deputy economy minister also said that the imports of basic goods to the country reached 18.374 million tons in the first 9 months of the current year, valued at $12.116 billion.
"China with 10.3 billion dollars, Iraq with 6.9 billion dollars, the United Arab Emirates with 4.7 billion dollars, Turkey with 3.3 billion dollars, and India with 1.7 billion dollars are the five countries that have the most imports from Iran," Rezvanifar said, adding that the 5 countries that exported the most to Iran, included the UAE with $15 billion, China with $13.7 billion, Turkey with $5.3 billion, Germany with $1.6 billion, and India with $1.4 billion.
“During this period, 38.2 million tons of petrochemical products worth $15 billion were exported,” he added.
Rezvanifar had also announced in November that the country’s non-oil exports had reached $28.3bln in the first 7 months of the current Persian calendar year.
Iran exported 79.5 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $28.3 billion during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year, Rezvanifar said.
He added that the 7-month non-oil exports indicate 29.32 percent rise in weight, and less than one percent drop in value, year on year.
The deputy Iranian finance minister further said that 20.9 million tons of non-oil goods worth $36 billion were imported to the country during the seven-month period of this year, with 6.21 percent growth in weight, and 12.61 percent rise in value, as compared to the same period last year.
He added that the country’s seven-month non-oil trade stands at 100.4 million tons worth $64.4 billion, with 23.71 percent rise in weight, and 6.2 percent increase in value, year on year.
Rezvanifar termed liquefied natural gas, liquefied propane and liquefied butane the main exported goods, saying that China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey and India were the main destinations of Iran's non-oil exports during the first seven months of the present year.
He also mentioned corn as livestock food, mobile phones and soybeans as the main imported goods, noting that the UAE, China, Turkey, Germany and India were the main sources of non-oil imports of Iran in the past seven months.
During this period, the average customs value of each ton of exported goods went from $466 to $357, which shows a decrease of 23.43 percent, Rezvanifar said.
