Malaysia's Natural Rubber Production Increases 0.6 Percent in October
TEHRAN (ANA)- Malaysia's natural rubber production increased 0.6 percent to 32,944 tons in October from September, official data showed.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the production rose 3.6 percent from a year ago.
Meanwhile, total stocks of natural rubber in October decreased 0.4 percent to 152,396 tons from September.
Exports of Malaysia's natural rubber amounted to 56,460 tons in October, down 1 percent from September.
China remained as the main destination for natural rubber exports, which accounted for 58.9 percent of Malaysia's total exports in October.
This was followed by Germany (8.5 percent), Iran (3.5 percent), Portugal (2 percent) and Türkiye (1.8 percent).
The export performance was contributed by natural rubber-based products such as gloves, tire, tube, and rubber thread.
