Iranian Researchers Produce Device for Precipitating Dust Particles
Mehrdad Gholami, the head of a research team at the Islamic Azad University (IAU) Marvdasht branch in the Southwestern Iranian Fars Province, told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of the national Asreh Omid Event held by the IAU that among their inventions is “a purifying device that is equipped with carbon nanoparticle which can transform volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into carbon dioxide and water vapor and make the dust particles precipitate.”
“The purifier can be easily installed at the place of a normal lamp. The device produced in this company by applying nanotechnology and using a carbon microfiber bed covered with carbon nanoparticles provides suitable places for the catalytic production of superoxide negative ions,” Gholami went on to say.
He said that the device can last for a long time, adding, “The IAU Asreh Omid Event lays the ground for introducing technological achievements to the market.”
The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
